Man_Up and be the man God wants you to be.

There is not one person we read about in the bible that can be considered as the finished
product when they started their walk with God. Each of them were tried and tested. Each of them had to
learn how to follow God and how to trust God. Essentially they had to learn who God was. It is
interesting that Job in his reply to God said he repented for speaking out of hearsay and gossip or second
hand knowledge of God. He said that now he had seen with his own eyes and heard with his own ears.
Now he had a personal knowledge of who God was. Our experiences may seem to have the potential to
destroy us, however they will strengthen us if we will only be patient. As Job learned, God is who He said
He was and He is able to complete His work in us.
None of us are exempt from experiencing things in life that have the potential to disappoint,
discourage, disrupt, or even destroy the progress of our faith being established. When these times
attack, consider the following. Focus on the fact that God cannot lie. Meditate on the thought that God
promised never to leave you or forsake you. Determine that you will continue to read and pray. Don’t
forget to keep the right company.
It may be debatable as to how much our life in God is dependent on our works, (the life long
debate over saved by grace and faith without works is dead) but this is for certain. It is our responsibility
to fight the good fight of faith. Answer the questions of life with Here’s the Man.
